Different Blooms Same Love

Four blooms to express different blooms but same love

I like my sketch better and here’s why. The sketch was all me. I picked up a green marker and drew. With the watercolor version I was focused on getting my painting to look like my sketch. I could feel the freedom in my sketch. In the watercolor version I love the color scheme but the leaves not so much.

Different but Same Love

Ok time to paint, listen to another chapter of Swagger and see what my followers are up to. If you’re working on a project tell me about it. Tag me on instagram @creatively.hue or pinterest. Email me. We all have art to share.

Pink Blooms and You

Six pink acrylic blooms to encourage joy, peace and love

Authenticity, that’s it. Authenticity is all you need to paint your best blooms. When I painted these flowers I mixed tones of pink and peach. I held the brush without precision. At some point I put down the brush and used my fingers. Works every time.

I painted these blooms a few months ago and didn’t share them. Too pink, too, bright, yes I doubted my own work. Why would I ever want to do that? Are you kidding me! This color palette is amazing! Here’s to more painting. We got this.

Paint what you want

I was listening to a James Victore podcast and his words practice without doubt, practice without perfection and practice without comparison are golden. When I practice it’s not that I’m happy or perfectly painting. There is this peace and in that peace are me an the idea. There are no rules, that terrible sense of rules that makes you hold the brush wrong and you’ve made a mistake. Someone shared that very notion with me. We think it’s wrong because we’ve conditioned ourselves to believe such lies. We have allowed outside forces to condition us.

I just had my birthday almost a week ago and I’m still celebrating. I’ve been posting some of my words and getting more likes. These are what I really want to make. Thank you for your feedback. Your likes are inspiration to keep painting. I’m going to keep painting regardless.

See it believe it Iridescent Bloom

Iridescent blue flower with the words see it and believe it

I was going to share a Bird of Paradise and I will but there’s this story. It’s a powerful don’t give up on your dreams story. There I was using up some leftover paint, The story, I felt it, Blue was the perfect color to express it. Copy paper instead of Watercolor paper didn’t even matter. I had an idea. I painted. I can’t wait to scan my bloom.

I have so many ideas. I’m working on a Creative Bloom course, a puzzle. I did some good writing for my color book. I’m dreaming and I believe in my dreams. I believe in you too.

Feel the breeze dance with ease

three peach yellow blooms with the words feel the breeze dance with ease.

Nature is such a confidence booster. Nature is such a creative booster. It was a hot summer day. I think I’ll go for a quick summer evening stroll. Let these blooms remind us to feel the breeze and dance with ease. We’re not worried about what they say because we’re too busy doing with we do.

I picked out my flat brush, mixed a few friendship tones and and it was exactly how I felt. I want and need more of this kind of painting. Ok now it’s time to go for a stroll.

Thanks for reading. See you tomorrow.

Love your Name Chrysanthemums

Pink and Purple Watercolor Blooms

I recently read Chrysanthemum. I had to paint Chrysanthemums. The story is about girl who loves her name until she gets made fun of at school. With the help of her music teacher who is also named a flower, Chrysanthemum learns to always love her name.

I have yet to write the words but I will write them in between the blooms. They are

Love your name.

Love you.

Never seek permission.

I love painting flowers and most importantly being inspired like this. Some may say I’m weird but that’s ok because in the words of Dolly Parton, find out who you are and do it on purpose.

Bloom, loves here

a purple bloom with the uplifting words bloom love is here.

Nature always gives us the courage to believe in our silly dreams. Not silly but wonderful dreams. I was about to trash this bloom. I filed it in the redo pile. Today I added a little watercolor turquoise because as George Michael says, “I gotta have faith.” My bloom is beautiful! No need to repaint this but I’m going to paint more of these blooms. Lots of them. I have so much to say. That’s my point. Go on bloom because love is always with you. Thanks for reading. Please subscribe if you already haven’t. Oh and get your free Ebooks.
