Bloom especially…

Interesting topic this morning. I was thinking about Sunday’s post. I thought about my bird of paradise painting. And here I am writing. This morning’s conversation pairs perfectly with bloom especially if you’re the only one who looks like a bird.

We all have a difference. Some call it weirdness and ostracize you for it. If you look at nature, there are colors, traits, and skills. Nature is the biggest most beautiful masterpiece. I wrote a book on this! Why would we ever want to change that? Yet we do. Here’s the conversation.

My name is Mireya Pizarro. I’ve always admired my name because I’m usually the only one. I love my culture and my curves. But there was a time that I didn’t appreciate who I was. I didn’t want to speak Spanish or listen to music. Now that I think of it, I did listen to Spanish music at home but I didn’t mention it at school. I didn’t want to stand out. As an artist, all I want is to stand out.

Let this marvelous Sunday be about just being you. My culture, ethnic background, spirit, and soul, that’s the artist. And I am an artist.

Siempre,

Mireya

P.S I hope you enjoy my posts as much as I love writing them, If you do please subscribe.

Get rid of cares

Have a blast!

It is moments like this that I grow. I grow as an artist. I painted a pattern art print. If I recall, all but a square in the left-hand corner was stamped with royal blue lines. My keychain broke off. I could create a similar stamp? Ok back to the pattern. I mixed up a bubblegum pink. I painted a big pink flower in the empty square. That’s a good idea. The practice was messy, but the idea was brilliant.

I keep referencing, There’s No Right Way to Paint a Flower. That by the way is the new title for Creative Bloom. I need to go and enjoy the outdoors. I need to learn how to breathe. Then I can come home and paint all the beautifulness I’ve seen. And that’s exactly what I’ll do this summer! There’s one other project I want to work on. That’s these are a few of my favorite things. Although, there is Just Ask by Sonia Sotomayor. I’ll just have to paint and figure it out.

What are you planning this summer? Any floral fields on your vacation? Art Projects? New Courses? Workshops? Do tell!

By the way I may post a quick quote for Saturday but other than that I’ll see you Sunday.

Lots of Love,

Mireya

Blending is Beautiful

This flower represents why I create. I take ideas never knowing how they’ll turn out and start creating. This type of creating comes from me. There’s no fear or doubt. Fear is always there but, in these moments, only idea patters. There’s this voice that tells me keep going. I know I need more of that in my whole life.

I painted the bloom on copy paper. The blending is beautiful! The stem and leaves didn’t come out good, but collage paper was the answer. Stamping with the round handle of a craft brush added a little more fun to this flower. I should add a little more space around the flower, so this bloom feels like it was painted on a dot wall.
