Expressive Flowers

Rain means spring is going to be beautiful

Yellow mug with pink flowers done in collage

Now it’s cold

But soon we will have spring to hold

It’s raining

Far too often, you are complaining

I don’t see change

Oh, but it’s time for YOU to rearrange

Rain is here

Leaves have fallen there

Colors are always growing

Your spirit is always glowing

When it rains

Imagine and dream, take that train

Rain means spring is going to be beautiful

Spring needs rain

Fall needs summer, it’s a chain

Now rain can lead to a storm

It’s scary to be beyond the norm

Take care of you you

Do what you do!

Rain gives us that time, you know

We can sit and feel the spirit who’s ready to go!

I appreciate this poem. I’m sitting her on a Saturday morning. Yes it’s been cold and raining but spring will be beautiful! Thank you for reading. Make sure you subscribe. Did you know I have books for sale? Art prints?

The Peaceful Place (tree with a flower swing)

tree with colorful flower swing

It’s warm and breezy.

To dream, to imagine, to live, it’s all easy

With every swing

you know home, where your truth is

Oh, to sit and ponder

of all that you wonder

because spring

you are the real thing

We are never too old

All we need is a seat and a rope to hold

The highs the lows

Peace and play, now that’s a flow!

Last night I sat for a good hour working on art for the book. Today I sat for less than 15 minutes, and I have a good poem! At lunch I’ll work on a collage project for life is a rainbow. I’m thinking a field of colorful blooms, in collage.

Ok time to start my day! Thank you to all of the new subscribers. Or I should say welcome! More fun flowers, more poems and more books.

Expressive Flowers

It’s the first day of spring!

I can’t wait to go for a walk and see the yard full of colorful cosmos. Maybe that should be the entry for seasons change? There’s going to be lots of new flowers. I’ve been having so much fun with lunchtime art. Next week I’ll take my watercolors.

Here’s a few of my favorites.

Stop thinking and get to the making…

Shades of pink and orange blooms

Sometimes it works and other times it leads to what does!

Every time I look at these blooms I fall in love with color all over again. I’m goign to make more of these. Fill a journal of my favorites?

Let’s see:

I could go on and on and I will. This will be a great project for spring! Then I could use the journal to create my creative bloom course?

Blooms and De Colores I have time for you both.

Three pink blooms for a happy day

I painted and pasted these blooms a week ago. Today, todoy these blooms made me smile! I selected these blooms this morning. and after a weird day of second guessing, making little mistakes and learning a lesson I love them even more.

How do you Bloom?

There are so many different ways. I don’t have a favorite. I like the color. It’s a thrill to see what I can come up with. I want to paint what I feel when I see the blooms in my neighborhood. I have a collection on pinterest. I must paint the yellow, pink and orange roses I saw on instagram.

A little lunch time doodle sounds like a great idea!

Growing Beautifully

Walnut ink is new for me. Aside from the messy bottle, this ink is beautiful. Reminds me of painting with coffee or tea. I want to stain and create vintage paper. Maybe a love letter note to self? In the shape of a flower? Yes.

My thoughts were begin with what you know and find new ways to combine ideas. I ended up with weeds. You might be growing beautifully. Weeds start growing, wanting to choke you. That’s when you proceed with heart.

Society does impose. I suppose.

There’s this whimsical need to express the imagination. Every impossible or crazy idea began with a crazy idea. It’s only sound, good when oh, it works!

I can use walnut ink for a holiday themed creative exploration. Choosing a favorite color would be great too.

Are you a subscriber?

I’m wondering how others would paint or draw flowers? There’s more than 100 ways.

Next week I’m doing brush techniques. And after that flowers with napkins and ink. I’m surprising myself.

Thanks for reading. Thank you to those of you who have emailed me your kind words. Oh I made a few changes to You Are Loved.

Have a good weekend! Stay cool!

Creative Ways to Flower

100 ways to flower with power is definitely about choosing how you want to create. Yes I am painitng but this idea applies to all of us. We skills. We have talents that can help others. Anything and everything is art. There’s power in believing.

Hearts.Thumbprints, Index finder. Stamp with the side of your finger. pinkie dots. Blend as you stamp. Monotones. Stamp with pinky finger and drag. Stamp with your knuckes. I didn’t try that. Perhaps I should? Stamp with your palm. I was practicing sillouette puppets the other evening. It was a suggestion from Learn By Heart. I’m thinking of how I can position my hand to paint a few more flowers. I could stamp with the flat coiled side of my fist. Turn anger into love. That could work!

I’m about 30 ideas away from completing the 100. Now I want to shift more into stepping away from the palatte and techniques I normaly use.

As always thanks for reading! See you tomorrow. Let me go paint the a few more thumbprints.
