Sea Wave Texture

I had a plan but it didn’t work out. As soon as the spork hit the page, very little paint glided across the page.

So I tried straight lines, circular motions and then… I had to use a flat brush. I spread the paint. With the paint wet, I glided the spork in an ocean wave manner.

I took things a step further with trying to paint a green boat. The boat turned into a mug. The bear turned into a kangaroo. I wanted to test painting with one medium size flat brush. Not such a good idea. I don’t have a texture for the book. I’ll paint something tomorrow.

I just want to have fun with this book. I’m still working on my summer plan. All the details are almost in place.

I sat and doodled away at some lines, patterns, and textures. Ok at first I referenced some Instagram faves. Then I just kept creating.

It’s like writing. It’s always good to just write and write even if it’s garbage. Eventually you’ll arrive at an awesome idea.

I’m coming up with ideas for my letters and gathering my thoughts.
