More sketches

Mireya

Markers worked for a few of the details but not for the hotel. I do have acrylic paint. That works. I keep going. I’m all for painting texture pages but now there’s scrapbook patterns.

Writing a book is harder than working on one piece. I’ m working on a million pieces at once.

I’m going to take my time and understand:

  • girl there’s going to be 100’s of illustrations
  • my drawing will improve
  • I need to step up my watercolor game too.
  • let’s face it you need opaque color.
  • transparency is terrible for scanning
  • I need to work on cleaning up my flies better

Ok for now I should spend the evening reading and sketching with a pencil.

First book layout is done!

It’s been crazy, my eyes are tired but I think I’m done with the lettering.

I finished the layout earlier and somehow it didn’t save. I kept making all these mistakes. I needed to change the book size because the images didn’t look right. Back and forth and back and forth and now I’m done. Now it’s time to relax and refresh my eyes for the next phase of editing.

Thinking map is done.

Many of the sketches are done.

 

Color scheme is almost figured out. I’ve got two weeks to make the deadline. Will I make it? Should I make it?

I don’t know, I’m taking my time.

Letting all those ideas and words work out fine.

Ha this whole Muhammad Ali rhyming thing is so cool! People are lovin’ my live your love story poem. Some are already waiting for the book to come out. Good things are happening….there’s no impossibilities.
