it's me, it's you in creative fun
Oh I like this! It’s fun to read, makes me smile. It’s always important to take care of you. I like going for walks and watching the moon change shape. Helping others, dancing, watching a good movie, painting, this is how I take care of myself.
Oh and the best way I take care of me is that as I’m drawing letters, I am drawing. There is no hand lettering, or rulers. I draw. When the doubter voices comes along it doesn’t really phase me.
How do you care of you?
Politics isn’t my topic. Sometimes that is a great motivator. Yesterday an artist posted #riseupshowupunite I woke up to kites and watercolor. That didn’t happen. Oragami paper worked great.
I’ve got the election on my mind. We all do. The last one broke my heart. I know that there’s some pessimism in this but the idea is that there are challenges in our lives. We come acroos defeat. That doesn’t mean we’ve lost. It means we have yet to win. We can’t lose hope.
Yor turn. Use construction paper. Color over copy paper. That’s a good idea. Paint. Create.
Today I needed to practice writing with watercolor. I’m working on my lettering skills. I wrote with tempera too. It would be easier to choose a font. That’s exactly why I will write out every single word of Road Trip.
The reason I work on these books is to work on my skills but as a creative I need these words. I wonder who needs them too. I’m grateful for my growing tribe. I’m grateful for this new course. Adolfo we’re going to learn a lot together.
Lettering with watercolor takes getting use to. You do have to find the brush that feels comfortable.

It’s been crazy, my eyes are tired but I think I’m done with the lettering.
I finished the layout earlier and somehow it didn’t save. I kept making all these mistakes. I needed to change the book size because the images didn’t look right. Back and forth and back and forth and now I’m done. Now it’s time to relax and refresh my eyes for the next phase of editing.

This is so cool! There I was walking along, with my thoughts and boom there it was. No words can describe how I felt when I saw this. It’s amazing and it made me feel loved.
I really have to rethink my art and my next project which is the Live Your Story book.
