pink is for everyone

Pink the color of friendship

In the wrong thought

pink and peach roses

you bring me back

Isn’t pink for everybody?

Mix pink with orange

Mix pink with yellow

Mix pink with brown…

you have my attention

magic lives in all of us

Say! I do paint purple flowers. Purple is the color of creativity and spiritual growth. Purple is magical and royalty. Purple was only for a few in the times of kings and queens. Only for a few? Magic and creativity lives in all of us. Power doesn’t come in a crown. Power comes from your inner being. Power comes from, yes I’m getting all Sar Wars, power comes from the force that binds us all. I should paint more purple flowers, lots more flowers!

Inner peace is always here

What a Sunday morning! I woke up early. I wrote for an hour or two…love when I lose track of time. Thoughts on my mind, feeling…not me. Not sure what it was or why it was there BUT as I wrote my whole body was peace. I hadn’t created much this week. Then I browsed my collage paper and cut out some petals. Let my eyes do the sorting and pasting. Later on I worked on collage. As I arranged a pink petal next to a peach one, my whole body was peace.

That’s it! I need to create. I literally need to create. I was stuck in the days where I had my list, my goals and daily projects. The inner peace is always with me. Outside forces don’t matter. A true artist creates always. There’s no time or right supplies you just do it. It’s like the song that was written in a restaurant on the back of a napkin. In a way it’s magic. Guess I needed to understand and now that I do I can move forward. Speaking of magic I wrote a few words on the color purple. Yes I wrote some good words for the book. That’ll be tomorrow’s post. Have I painted purple flowers?

It takes ALL of us

The lesson on how we get our food

The podcast on gratitude for the farmer to the clerk

I don’t want to ever be that kind of jerk

Sometimes I am

I fuss over nothing

Forget who I am and what I bring

It is great and sad that we need a month to love ourselves.

To celebrate with stuff off the shelves

Look around

You and me, we make the town.

Let’s celebrate everyone everyday by being kind.

We do every time we sing and unwind.

Ok if you’ve been reading and enjoying my poems, thank you! I do like these poems. I’m just rhyming and having fun. Honestly that is what this is.

simple to beautiful blooms with q-tips

Take something simple and turn it into beautiful

All you need are q-tips.

Imagination

Curiosity

Your favorite color

swagger

Peace in Eric Carle collage style

This is one of my favorite pieces. It’s the color. It’s the texture. Peacocks don’t like snakes and yet they’ll fight them to the end to protect their territory.

Oh what of my horse. Horses run wild and free. That is all I long to be.

Let these be a reminder of my awesome book. Yes I am proud of my childhood curiosity coming to life in this book. I want to get back to creating and be responsible for my inner experience. I can’t ride two horses at once. No matter where I go no matter what I do the peace I feel when I go for walks or when I paint, that is always with me. I feel it now as I write. I feel it when I work on collage. Ok so this weekend I’m putting together the first rough draft of ,There’s room for all of us. Now’s an excellent time. I have my warm white acrylic ready to paint sunflowers.

Thanks for reading. Now I’m going for a walk. What does fall mean to me? Should I submit a piece for an art exhibit? The deadline is tomorrow.

dagger brush blooms

Use new tools like a dagger brush to paint flowers

I think I got my groove back. I threw out three sheets of paper, good watercolor paper. I kept painting. Take your time. Paint. See what the dagger brush can do. Wait a minute, that’s what helped me! These blooms are filled with faith. All week I hadn’t painted a single bloom worth sharing. All were filled with wonderful ideas. My flowers just weren’t blooming, yet Today in moments, my blooms were back, I restocked a warm white acrylic paint and ready to paint this weekend.

PLAY

Finger painting. Paper rolls. Flat brush. Clouds. Scraps of paper. Scrappy sponge. What do all of these ideas have in common? PLAY. For the past few days I’ve been painting. I always paint, every single day. These past days I haven’t had a single bloom that I want to share, scan or add to the shop. I did do a little writing for the color book. The writing is good. I like the writing. With the painting, it felt like I had to paint. I no longer have the entire day to paint. My best ideas, my best artwork happens when I have time to play. I miss the days when the ideas keep coming and I don’t want to run out of paper. I suppose that I forgot to simply let go and paint. I’ve played for 5 minutes or 10 minutes.

Yes this post and all of these projects are examples, reasons to let go and play. Surrender. We don’t need to be perfect because we’re not. We don’t need to have answers. We just need to pick up the brush and paint. Ok this post was my hold up wait a minute breath moment. Now I’m going to go finger paint some flowers.

blue paper roll Bloom

I posted about this yesterday but this bloom deserves it’s own post. I should have scanned this bloom before I threw it out. Yes I threw it out. Sometimes I over analyze the idea. The stigma is too big. I painted with iridescent white when I really wanted a warm white. Only now I wish I hadn’t.

Sometimes ideas work

Sometimes they don’t

Keep going

Keep making

It’s not about the rules

It’s not about judging fools

It’s about doing what you’re doing

bravely in the light

It’s everything but a fight

Oh sometimes there’s struggle to choose

With me you’ll never loose

Learn it

Know it

Love you

Loving me

Oh my, I like writing these poems. Yes you are responsible for your inner experience, Wow so deep and the words of a post from Kute Blackson. Yes love you and know that the trees, breeze and tonight’s moon and stars love you.

I’m ready to add new work to my shop and paint. It’s going to be good.
