Pink Florals With Eraser Stamp

I am curious to see how these flowers will look digitized? Love the yellow monotone stigmas. Erasers make such great stamps. I cut a rectangle shape. Then v shaped the edges on one side. What an idea! Yes some of the flowers are a mess. The stamp kept falling. The paint was too thick and too thin in other areas. What an idea that came from a customized eraser.

Just making art is about making a mess. learning and improving your skills. The 100 ways flower project helped me study the parts of the flower and improve my color palette. I no longer simply draw flowers with straight stems.

An I going to try this again? Absolutely! If you have or will be stamping with erasers email or tag me on instagram.

Flowers With Lip Gloss?

Oh yeah. This is one of those times where you get curious. Then curiosity leads you to an idea that was lingering but you didn’t know how to express it. Hot pink and an emerald green would have been beautiful. Oh I should create a pattern. Done. Right now there’s another pattern I need to digitize.

Tomorrow I will be working on the writing for 100 Ways to Flower With Power.

Simple Strokes Purple Beauties

All it takes is simple strokes to create these flowers. One round brush. One flat brush. Maybe use a blue color pencil to outline the petals? There is something powerful about the color purple. Purple is creativity. There’s power in creativity.

Mix up a little purple and paint with your hand, elbow or left hand. That seems weird? Who knows, it could work?

Are you a subscriber? In a couple of weeks I will be working on book cover projects and releasing a new ebook. I will be giving them away for free.

Together is better

I painted, stamped this apple some time ago. It was for a Graphic design course. The ideas was to take an object and recreate it 10 ways. You observe color, texture and shape. It’s interesting to see how all of the elements work together and a message reveals itself.

Have you stamped lately?

I know and I hope you do

Do you know about the murals.? I couldn’t believe that the whole school worked together to create it. At the time I was working on my book and loving Ericle Carle’s work. My letters are good but I want to change the color and texture. In a couple of weeks I will be redoing a few book covers and other art projects to celebrate my books and the new one to come.

I have been going over my blog and me as an artist. Why do I create? I simply can’t imagine doing anything else. I am working on a career move. This one must encourage me to keep going. A creative’s life for me always.

For now creatively hue is just making art and nourishing the mind. Sound good?

Feel the Rainbow More

I’m working on a few flowers but last night’s rainbow in lava had me thinking. Not my rainbow and lava by the way but I had to paint a rainbow. There are goind to be worries, hard and uncertain times. There’s no magic answer on how to make them go away. How you live each day is by remembering to feel the rainbow more often.

This rainbow is unlike anything I’ve ever painted. For some reason I like the texture. Maybe not for the shop this time. I am working on the just making art. Oh this rainbow could make a cover for the new project? Maybe.

What makes you feel like rainbow?
