This week for three days I participated in an art class for elementary students. It was completely unexpected and a wonderful surprise. I got paid to paint! That’s always welcome. My first self-love project is redesigning my website. It’s a work in progress. It will be. I’ve been working on the site for the past few days. The site looks better. I’m definitely out of my comfort zone.
Here is my plan:
- Make a list of my favorite artists
- Research their sites
- What brand story are their telling?
- Is it easy to navigate?
- Take notes of likes and dislikes
- Explore tools on WordPress. (WordPress is where I keep my site)
All the sites are simple and quick to load. In seconds, I know who the artist is and what they represent. The colors are bright and bold.
Why am I sharing this? The first phase of art is, that you don’t have all the answers. This is probably the best place to be. You start with one idea and keep going. The point is to begin and don’t be shy.
