Road Trip

I wanted all of the illustrations to be in color. I wanted to paint Pennsylvania’s Happiness sign. I wanted to capture the orange browns of Colorado. I painted cute luggage and a blue car. My pins and map were cool too. Yet I threw out all of these illustrations. Why did I do that? Oh right I learned the beauty and simplicity of one black sharpie fine point pen.

I am so glad I made that choice. It’s always color in unexpected ways that makes the most interesting art Road Trip turned out awesome. I have another idea for the color book.
