The more I draw the more I want to draw my own flowers. Sure I draw my inspiration from real life beauties. It is the color and the patterns and how it makes me feel that I choose to express. This notebbook cost about $1.00. I can use markers or pencils and draw. It is easier to let the ideas flow when you are working on cheap paper versus watercolor. Yes, when I paint I am learning to trust myself by picking up the paint brush and painting. No sketching. No pencils. Just painting. If I were painting landscapes or a street in Paris I would probably have to sketch. I’ve been thinking about this artist who paints these characters. He uses inks and no sketching. His words, If I apply too much ink, the splatter becomes part of the piece, have stayed with me. Not sure of the artist’s name or the exact words but the words are in my toolbox.
A visionary artist who paints blooms of optimism. She paints using watercolor, acrylic and fun tools like paper rolls. She's a tea drinker who's curious about everything in nature. Every day she creates and creativelyhue.com is her place where she learns to trust her ideas, create from her authenticity and documents her process because we are all artists.
