Why?
As a kid I was always curious about animals. I still am. Do they understand me? Is a Cobra really shy? Snakes terrify me. Are snakes terrified of me too? Butterflies flutter where they choose. I walk in thought and suddenly a a flutter of yellow changes it all or invites me to play. Birds flock together. Female Elephants run the heard. Smart herd, hah. I would look at fish and wonder about their patterns and color. Their water is my breath of fresh air. I could go on. Bees are tiny. Yet the role they play in this world is profound.
This project gave me the chance to explore Eric Carl’s work. I had this idea for a least a year. I spent a month in an RSP classroom and taught the kids my art. It is better said that I merely supplied the tools. Students always teach me. It was that experience that made me promise to write a book. Oh wait that was a different book on the ideas about art. Can art save the world? The ideas and how it makes you feel? It creates flow. Yes I just read about this in the morning.! Flow is what I have been experiencing during making art. Back to the class, friendships were mended. Confidence grew. Ideas and imagination were alive and well! That was the best assignment I had. I want more of that. I welcome it. From then on I fell in love with collage and finally brought a childhood idea to life.
Get your ebook for free this week only. Perhaps you have read the book? I will be working on the paperback tomorrow. I know it would be a dream to turn the pages and look at each animal. Every purchase helps keep my creative dreams alive.
What makes you happy?
