First attempt was all wrong. The sketch didn’t make sense. All I needed to do is get rid of the areas that didn’t belong.

Here we are. At the time I believed this tree trunk was awesome. I put it in the pile of I was able to make it work. Working through a piece is important to me. I can learn to trust in my ideas…work through failure. I now realize that I don’t have to stick with the same piece. I can take what I’ve learned and move forward.
Tomorrow I should gather some odds and ends and test them.
I want to change the color. Brighter colors. Better textures.

I am out of paper at the moment. I do have some paper. I have 12 more paintings and a couple of redos to go. There’s Lavendar and Islands with the most beautiful shades of blue.
