Broken Branches + Love

First attempt was all wrong. The sketch didn’t make sense. All I needed to do is get rid of the areas that didn’t belong.

Here we are. At the time I believed this tree trunk was awesome. I put it in the pile of I was able to make it work. Working through a piece is important to me. I can learn to trust in my ideas…work through failure. I now realize that I don’t have to stick with the same piece. I can take what I’ve learned and move forward.

Tomorrow I should gather some odds and ends and test them.

I want to change the color. Brighter colors. Better textures.

I am out of paper at the moment. I do have some paper. I have 12 more paintings and a couple of redos to go. There’s Lavendar and Islands with the most beautiful shades of blue.

Every day she creates and is her place where she learns to trust her ideas, create from her authenticity and documents her process because we are all artists.
