Rock Textures

Much better. I took a size 10 brush, dipped it in yellow ochre and softly glided it across the page. I did mix a little blue and that made for interesting yellow tones. It’s calm and peaceful just like Colorado.

This past weekend was really hard. I felt terribly lost and wondered about all of these books. Yes they are a sense of feel good self love–self help.

How can I write these books if I … do I have it all together? Absolutely not. I write to encourage myself. Do any of us have it all together? No. And I’ll be the first to admit I have a lot to work on. Others may be in much better circumstances but guess what, they have problems too.

I read recently that Elton John once filed for bankruptcy. Yes the man is a genius. Another artist was kind enough to remind me that he too once wrestled with a voice in his head telling him he wasn’t enough. Maybe I should create a bunch of art telling this voice to —- off.

Today I began painting the beautiful hills of trees. Road Trip filled with lovely textures and the lessons I’ve learned? Maybe.
